The annual Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight. This is the finest meteor shower all year with lots of bright meteors. As with all meteor showers, it's best after midnight however a three quarter Moon will be in the sky during the all important after midnight hours.  Theoretical maximum is up to 100 meteors per hour under perfect (moonless) conditions.
